Bishop Oyedepo once said, “God gave you brain so you can give God rest.” We have held God responsible for so many things working or not working in our lives. Enough is enough! It is time we start accepting covenant responsibilities for the things happening and the things we want to happen in our lives.

Our God is a covenant keeping God. Whatever He says, is what He will do. Let’s begin to dig deeper to find what God has promised us and claim our inheritance. Proverbs 24:14 says, “So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.”

There is what is missing today in your life. It is not God who will find it for you, you are the one to search for it inside the knowledge of wisdom until you find it. When you find that which is missing, there shall be a reward! That reward is the breakthrough you are praying for.

Luke 15:8-9 – “Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, ‘Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost’.”

To succeed in life you have to light a candle and sweep diligently till you find what you are looking for. Some are looking for a good job; that job is available but you have to search for it. Others are looking for the right partner for their life, he/she is there, but you have to sweep diligently to locate him/her. Many are looking for financial breakthrough. Your breakthrough is a reality even at hard times, but you have to light your candle, bend down and sweep thoroughly and you will find it.

Brethren in Christ, we have waited for God enough, not knowing that it is God who has been waiting for us to rise and shine. He said, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1). Your light is your personal revelation in the Word of God, not what one “Prophet” told you.

God told Moses, “Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward” (Deut. 2:3). In case you are afraid of what is in the north, He said, “Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle” (Deut. 2:24).

Don’t be afraid of Sihon, the Amorite, king of Heshbon; God has given him to us and his land. Let’s begin to contend with him in battle and possess his land. Success is our divine heritage! Accept responsibility and fight your way to the top.

In May 2025, I declare: “I SHALL MAKE MY WAY PROSPEROUS” in the name of Jesus! (Joshua 1:8).

To turn the world around by preaching and teaching God’s final word of divine economic empowerment for the new phase of the world economy, which will be that of the kingdom of God.

Dr. Matthew Agada, a medical doctor by training, is the president and senior pastor of NewPhase Full Gospel Ministries. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Before his call to full gospel ministry, he worked as a senior medical officer at the NAF Hospital Kaduna and was also the CEO and medical director of his own private hospital, Rhema Hospital, which he sowed as a seed to the church to help the poor and the needy members of the church as he was entering full gospel ministry. As a missionary with the World Mission Agency, he served as the Regional Director, Central Africa, with headquarters in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Today he serves as President and Founding Pastor at New Phase Full Gospel Ministries, a.k.a., the “Mountain of Total Turnaround and Economic Empowerment,” headquartered in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Dr. Matthew Agada is married to Victoria and is blessed with four children: Havilah-Caleb, Deborah-Love, Jerry-King, and Elias-Delight.

As a student at the Word of Faith Bible Institute [WOFBI], August Special 1991 in Kaduna, my eyes opened, and I saw the reality of divine destiny in Jeremiah 29:11, 1:5, and Romans 8:29–30. I discovered that God had a particular plan for my life, but it might not be what I was doing then (medical practice). With fear, therefore, I cried to the Lord to show me His plan for my life, or else at His second coming, He would not ask me anything about it. Even if it were what I was doing then (as a medical officer), I wanted Him to confirm it so that I could confidently say that that was what God created me to do in life.
